THE SURREY LAW CENTRE IS A REGISTERED CHARITY AND WE DO NOT RECEIVE ANY GOVERNMENT FUNDING, WE RELY COMPLETELY ON FUNDRAISING EVENTS, DONATIONS AND SMALL GRANTS. WE ARE CURRENTLY CREATING A 5 YEAR PLAN TO ENABLE US TO GROW AND TO PROVIDE MORE HELP AND ADDITIONAL SERVICES BUT WE ALWAYS NEED FUNDS AND ANY DONATIONS WE RECEIVE MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE AND HELPS US TO KEEP OUR DOORS OPEN AND OUR SERVICES RUNNING
The Surrey Law Centre is a registered Charity which was established in 2001 and which has been helping disadvantaged and vulnerable people gain access to justice. We believe that Access to Justice should be equally available to everyone, regardless of their financial circumstances.
We aim to offer you a warm welcome, quickly identify your needs and provide a non discriminatory service to you. We will signpost you to another appropriate service if it is an issue which we are unable to assist with. Although our service is free all donations are gratefully received.
WHEN ARE WE HERE
Our offices are open Monday to Friday between 10 am and 3 pm. You can telephone us on 0330 002 0099 (local rate number), e-mail us on firstname.lastname@example.org or alternatively complete our contact form.
HOW WE CAN HELP
Our office is based in Epsom, Surrey and we are presently able to offer legal advice through outreach clinics situated in Epsom, Dorking, Oxted, Reigate, Sutton, Walton on Thames, Guildford, Godalming, Woking, Camberley and Crawley covering various areas of law where we can offer a free 20 minute appointment.
All our clinics are staffed by experienced and Solicitors, Barristers and other Legal Experts and are held in confidential and safe environments. All of the venues we use also have wheelchair access. We are also able to offer a telephone service for those unable to access our clinics due to exceptional circumstances. We regret that we are unable to draft documentation, undertake casework or provide representation.
We work in partnership with many local Citizen Advice Bureauxs, Solicitors and other Legal Experts. We can, depending on individual circumstances, provide referrals to local Solicitors in the areas of Wills & Probate, Trusts, Court of Protection, Powers of Attorney, Immigration and Crime where 30 minutes of free legal advice can be offered, subject to availability.
In addition we are happy to assist with referrals to the Bar Pro Bono Unit and the Free Representation Unit. NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE
If we cannot assist you, we will strive to refer you to a service we believe may be of benefit to you.
Our service is completely confidential and we will not disclose any information about you or your enquiry without your permission.
We have good knowledge of Solicitors in Surrey and the surrounding areas who hold a Legal Aid contract and which areas of law they cover.
We also have access to many helplines for non legal issues.
Please note that while these are the towns clinics run in, you will only receive the full address by appointment.
